The best Mediterranean restaurant at the U of I campus. I tasted their food numerous times, and the food is so good. Most often I try "Lunch Special" menu there which includes lentil soup/fries and drinks. Their regular dishes are also very good. The most important thing is given the price of the foods, the food quantity is pretty good. It is easily possible to eat at least two meals considering the quantity of food they typically provide. And the prices of the food are very reasonable. I would recommend this is a must try restaurant around the campus.

Big and tasty portions. Although a bit pricey for the students. Nice lively environment, Mediterranean music playing on the speakers. In our party of five, even though everybody was very hungry, no one could finish the whole bowl. Good quantity 👍

I ordered the “make your own wrap” with spicy chicken. Which if you like spicy food, definitely had some kick to it. It comes with four other ingredients you get to choose from and I picked the arabic salad, lettuce, and pickles. For this I paid 10.99 plus tax. The service was really good. I got my food fast and was even given two falafels on the house by the manager. The atmosphere was very clean and I noticed the workers cleaning up their kitchen as they went. The only downside is that I wish you didn’t have to pay for water.

The best restaurant in town! I’m here for work and my first time here and this place was amazing! Food was delicious and all the guys working were so nice! Restaurant was very clean, efficient and had me in and out in less than 5 minutes! Highly recommend!

Wow, I live in NYC and I must say this stuff was the best I ever had. During a visit recently I walked down Green Street to find some quick food before a meeting I was having. Lines in most of the other restaurants were long, and since I'm vegan, my options were already limited. I saw Shawarma Joint and it was somewhat empty (it was a Monday night) and I knew I could get vegan fare. I bought the falafel platter, had a few toppings and a side of fries. I didn't know the fries would be seasoned (lesson for next time) but they were delicious. Even more, the platter was the BEST I've ever had, and I've had a lot of falafel. I LOVE this place, and wish I'd known about it for my many previous visits. Oh well, I know now. The staff were so friendly, atmosphere clean, and the food is so fresh and delicious. It'll make me a snob at the next place I go to back home, for sure.

Really friendly staff, food is delicious. You definitely get enough for 2 meals in the normal bowl. It’s also really healthy and a fun place to eat! Overall, would recommend.

LOVED IT SO MUCH! The service was amazing; the staff was efficient, patient, and very polite. I got the lunch special, which included a bowl of food, fries or soup, pita bread, and a drink, ONLY FOR $12.99 (tax not included). Food was delightful with great portions. They had a variety of rices, protein options, toppings, etc., to choose from. Their falafel was also tasty, very crispy on the outside, and juicy and soft inside. Best hummus ever! It was super creamy and felt homemade. The vibe of the place was also very calm and nice if you enjoy dining in. Just wonderful! I’ll be returning shortly!
